My People In Landscape series deals directly with issues of presence and purpose. These works are at once portraits of a moment in time, and of the person experiencing the land. They challenge and explore the ways we recognize people and places while asking the questions: What does the viewer bring to and impose on the scene? How do we know someone from behind? Are we using the land or are we part of it?
