I view my Big Fruit still life work as meditations on shape, relationships and points of contact. Their vibrant colors and sensual forms glow with inner light. The use of highly textured forms standing alone or overlapping is a meditation on the elegance and complexity of nature. They are all portraits, serious studies of regional fruits that I find beautiful and full of depth and sweetness.
