This is “not your stuffy wine shop!” So I am excited to be showcasing a selection of my Landscapes, Wine Bottle Stills, and Big Fruit paintings that celebrate Oregon and her rich bounty of fruit and wines at Sip D’vine, a wine shop featuring Northwest wines in historic Multnomah Village. This special collection will be on display March 27 through June 30, 2013, so you have plenty of time to get over there and check it out. Besides, you need an excuse to try some new wine, right?
I am excited to offer a brand new class! Come explore still life, drapery, and the human figure. Learn the power of composition, color, values and form with 1 day poses and weekly assignments. Develop anatomy, mixing colors from life and all the tools and mediums of oils or acrylics. Some drawing and painting experience helpful, but assignments can be tailored for the beginner. All levels. Learn to paint and explore the power of color, values and form. Practice color mixing and the tools and mediums of oil painting, while developing compositions from colorful and varied still life. No prior experience necessary. Ages 13 & up. Supply list available online.

The Oregon Society of Artists promotes the artistic and professional interests of its members by providing exhibiting opportunities, and the 2013 Spring Art Show is one of those great exhibits. And since I am an OSA member, you will see one of my own popular landscapes featuring a favorite Oregon locale! So support Oregon artists and check out this juried art show running March 10 through April 5, 2013. And don’t miss the artists’ reception March 10, 1-4 pm with ribbons awarded at 2:30 pm by Jurist Lee Lauritzen. Who knows? Maybe one of the featured artists is even a neighbor of yours!

If you haven’t been to the Oregon coast recently, then you need to visit Proper Eats in charming downtown St Johns between February 4 and March 31, 2013, for a proper view of my seascapes. In addition to my latest and greatest paintings, including Hug Point, I will also have some giclée canvas prints available for sale and ready to hang.
