The Landscape work deals directly with the issues of presence. As a suburban/city raised person, I feel very small and awed by the land I visit away from what I know. These works are portraits of a moment in time, as I experienced them. Whether my subject is the land, a teapot or a person, I have devoted myself to the study of form as a channel for emotion and a conduit of expression. My representational work explores the visual perimeters of my subjects, while infusing them with the spirit of the interaction, creating a deep psychological mood.
